Future Investment Plans..

a couple of mths ago, i started hearing my colleagues exchange investment tips and opinions.. reminded me of wad my dad suggested regarding getting my hands on some shares and bonds since im werking nw.. and finally embarking on da journey of monetary savings..

personally.. up till todae.. im still da frog at da bottom of da well.. completely oblivious to da world of stocks and finances.. well.. its quite embarrassing at times.. seems almost similar to da instances where me reading da papers was considered a big deal! heh.. =P

awaking from our afternoon nap yest.. i coerced baby fr his slpyness into roaming da grounds of ikea tampines.. my mind drifting to a very foreign.. yet exciting subject.. "building da foundation to a marriage".. fr several mths back.. baby smilingly said dat marrying me was part of his plans for da future, sae in 5 yrs' time.. and i merrily taunted him over several occassions on my lurve fer diamonds.. plus a super duper taitai life.. heh.. not dat i wld stop werk completely when im married.. but still.. its wad most gurls dream of before marriage wad! aniwaes.. bk to our ikea trip..

baby n i started discussing on da sorta furniture we'd haf in our future love-nest.. and wif me adding in my two cents' worth of fengshui knowledge.. we both decided on da simplistic black and white, wif a lil splash of red here and dere.. juz fer some vibrancy.. =P.. surprisingly, we both were pretty agreeable on most stuff.. such as da type of bed we'd slp in.. da texture and size of da living room sofas.. a home office wif several clocks on da wall reading diff times fer my "finance company" husband.. having a large, comfy rug spread out at da corner of a room wif huge, spongy cushions so our family and frens can come over fer drinks, relaxation and endless chit chats.. eh wait.. i tink its juz gonna be relaxation and endless chatterings.. coz we decided its gonna be a "no-drinks" policy as it'd be terrible to clear da nasty water stains at da end of da nite.. =P

we den moved on to da topic of saving up enuff money fer each piece of furniture dat we wld need to make our house a home.. it sure ain't gonna be a small sum of money! haha.. but thkfully.. we both noe dat at da very worst.. at least we'd be able to afford da "ikea style of living".. hahaha! a lil bit lacking on da quality side.. but nonetheless, still some rather creative designs.. prob da few items we'd get fr ikea are da white plates, huge cushions and accessories, da pretty flowering fauna, pots and pans.. and kitchen storage.. coz dey're cheap, innovative and kewl.. =)

well, near da end of da trip, baby n i hadda bigg argument due to miscommunication (again!!).. baby n i survived da fight.. wif him getting a huge bruise on his leg plus several "whacks" from me.. and me receiving swollen eyes plus a couple of ant bites from da army of ants dat baby commanded to attack me at da bus stop.. hehee..

thru-out and after da quarrel.. it made me realize hw impt baby is to me.. and hw easy it is to ruin a beautiful r/s fer da stoopidest reasons.. thus one of my resolution fer da year wld be to control my bad badd temper more effectively.. coz da bottomline is dat "nobody's gonna love me betta.. so i'd betta stick to him fer a long long time".. =)

ps. if my "long-term investment" is reading dis.. pls rem to make a conscious effort to stop touching ur ear.. coz im soo ready to present u wif ur reward - da travel tix and accomodation to our getawae trip.. hehe.. and oso.. juz a gentle reminder fer uu to save up fer da 0.5 carat diamond (ring).. coz im def gonna lose da 5 kilos.. wahahhaha! *biggie huggies*
